Fish-printing, or “gyotaku,” was one of the highlights (and yuckiest projects) of the summer of 2009.

Insects transform throughout their lifespans. Humans can transform, too, with the help of makeup, exercise and surgery. At our Metamorphic Makeover night in 2008, participants transformed themselves with makeup. The boys had their faces painted by library manager Michele Nicole Johnson. The girls (below) got makeovers with the help of Mary Kay rep, Jenny Day of Sapelo Island.
